The Vessel

The Barracuda Too is a brand new powerful, high speed Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boat. It has inboard individual seating and environmentally friendly 4-stroke engines.

Our trips are the perfect way fro your family to enjoy the thrills of high speed boat travel and the more leisurely moments spent studying the local marine environment - the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline.

 

1 Hour Voyage around Ramsey Island

Fast Exhilarating Action!

A one hour voyage aboard our new RIB will take you around Ramsey for fantastic cliffs, coves and caves. See the gorges and highest cliffs in Wales. Superb opportunities to see birds.

Ramsey Island is now a bird sanctuary, owned and managed by the RSPB and lies half a mile from the mainland near St Davids, Pembrokeshire.

Our high speed vessel 'Barracuda Too' has been licensed by the Maritime Coastguard Agency to carry 12 people and two crew members.

Her size and manoeuvrability allow closer interaction with the wildlife and many sea caves that Ramsey Island has to offer.

Wildlife

This area is famous for its resident and migratory sea birds - Razorbills, Kittiwakes and Guillemots are just a few. The waters around Ramsey are also teeming with marine mammals - the area is home to one of the largest colonies of Atlantic Grey Seal in the UK. Harbour porpoise are also an almost daily treat to observe.
  

Evening Puffin & Shearwater Watch

Join us for our trip to the North Bishop Island to see Puffins and Shearwaters as they return to roost. 1½ hour voyage. (April to August)

Photographic opportunities are plenty as our vessel can travel in very shallow waters, inside the numerous caves and bays - and right up close to the seals and porpoises.
 

There is no better way to see, at close quarters, dramatic cliffs and waters teeming with wildlife. You'll enter the depths of magnificent sea caves and ride foaming tidal rapids and, combined with commentary from our highly experienced and knowledgeable crew, we will provide you with an unforgettable experience.
